MDEQ Awards Waste Tire Grant to Jefferson County


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) has awarded Jefferson County a $35,000 two-year waste tire grant to continue the local waste tire collection program for small quantity generators of waste tires.

Madison County Flood Risk Open House


The Mississippi/FEMA Risk MAP Team will host a Flood Risk Open House from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in the Board of Directors room, Ridgeland City Hall, 304 Highway 51, Ridgeland, 39157. 

MDEQ Lifts Two Beach Advisories


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted water contact advisories Thursday for Stations 5 and 12A. There are currently no advisories issued across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

MDEQ Lifts Six Beach Advisories


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted water contact advisories Wednesday for Stations 7, 7A, 9, 10, 11A, and 12B. Advisories remain in effect for Stations 5 and 12A.

MDEQ Lifts Advisory for Station 15 in Ocean Springs


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Tuesday for Station 15 in Ocean Springs (Shearwater Beach). Seven other stations are under advisory.
