Gov. Bryant Announces Treasury’s Award of RESTORE Projects

Gov. Phil Bryant announced today that the U.S. Department of the Treasury has issued grant awards for two Mississippi RESTORE projects. In June 2017, Gov. Bryant announced the approval of grant awards for six other projects.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Thursday for sampling station 8 (Gulfport West Beach). An advisory remains in effect for station 9.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Monday for sampling station 19 (Pascagoula Beach West). Advisories remain in effect for stations 8 and 9.
