Special Waste Management Guidelines

There are various types of solid wastes which require special or extraordinary handling conditions due to the characteristics of the wastes or additional regulatory controls on the management of the wastes. These wastes are often referred to as “special wastes.” The Solid Waste Policy, Planning, & Grants Branch has developed or collected the following documents that provide guidance or information on the management of various special waste streams:
