The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted water contact advisories Tuesday for sampling station 12B (Biloxi East Central Beach) and sampling station 20 (Pascagoula Beach East). Advisories remain in effect for stations 9, 11, 11A, 12A, 14, 15, and 19.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) issued a water contact advisory Monday for a segment of Terrapin Skin Creek in Rankin County. The advisory extends on the creek from just above Highway 80 in Brandon to where it crosses Highway 18.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Thursday extended the water contact advisory that was issued October 4 for several water bodies in Gulfport and Biloxi. The advisory now includes the Industrial Seaway and Bernard Bayou from Highway 49 through Big Lake to Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi.
