Notice is hereby given that the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is seeking sealed bids for the MDEQ –NORTH BEARDSLEE LAKE MARSH RESTORATION PROJECT (the “Project”). This Project is administered by MDEQ and funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund Agreement #45721, Utilization of Dredge Material for Marsh Restoration in Coastal Mississippi. The purpose of this Project is to construct a containment system from dredge sediments obtained from dredge disposal sites in and along the Pascagoula River and other areas, ultimately creating new marsh habitat at the site. The work consists of providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to construct approximately 1,200’ of earthen berm containment and approximately 280’ of rock riprap containment dike located on the western portion of North Beardslee Lake in Jackson County, Mississippi.

The purpose of the pre-submittal conference is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions to staff and obtain clarification of the procurement requirements.

Sealed bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. CST, April 5, 2022 at the MDEQ office located at 515 East Amite St., Jackson, MS 39201 or electronically via MAGIC (RFX# 3160004919). All bids received after this deadline will be returned unopened.
