INVITATION FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is seeking sealed bids for the MDEQ – GREENWOOD ISLAND BENEFICIAL USE EXPANSION (the Project). The Project requirements are detailed in the Contract Documents. The Project is administered by MDEQ and funded through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Gulf Environmental Benefit Fund Agreement #57745, Utilization of Dredge Material for Marsh Restoration in Coastal Mississippi – Phase II. The Project includes the construction of approximately 11,000 linear feet of stone containment dike that will encompass approximately 270 acres.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 10, 2022 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed at here, or by phone at +1 (571) 317-3122; Access Code: 782-025-141. The purpose of the pre-submittal conference is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions to staff and obtain clarification of the procurement requirements.

Sealed bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the MDEQ office located at 515 East Amite St., Jackson, MS 39201 or electronically via MAGIC (RFX# 3160005158). All bids received after this deadline will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened at 3:15 p.m. on June 29, 2022 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed at here, or by phone at +1 (786) 535-3211; Access Code: 766-830-613.

MDEQ reserves the right to reject any and/or all packages and waive any minor informality.
