INVITATION FOR BIDS (CANCELLED)

Notice is hereby given that the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is soliciting sealed bids from organizations licensed to do business in the State of Mississippi to assist MDEQ with the Beach Outfall Pilot Project I (Project). The Project requirements are detailed in the Contract Documents. The Project is administered by MDEQ and funded in whole or in part with grant funding from the RESTORE Council under the RESTORE Act. The Project includes the construction of a treatment system for discharge of stormwater from the Courthouse Road area of Gulfport, MS. The system is made up of a concrete weir vault, a mechanical treatment unit, stormwater pipe, a constructed marsh area, pre-cast oyster reef structures, a retaining wall, a boardwalk, and a pavilion. The system will be connected to the existing box culverts that convey stormwater beneath US Hwy. 90.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. CST, February 15, 2024 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed here, or by phone at 224.501.3412: Access Code: 292-647-349. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions to staff and obtain clarification of the procurement requirements.

Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. CST, March 5, 2024, at the MDEQ office located at 515 East Amite St., Jackson, MS 39201 or electronically via MAGIC (RFX# 3160006340). All bids received after this deadline will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened at 3:15 p.m. on March 5, 2024 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed here, or by phone at 312.757.3121; Access Code: 458-277-885.

Minority and women business enterprises are encouraged to bid as a prime contractor or to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses and women’s business enterprises as subcontractors and/or suppliers, as applicable.
