(Jackson, Miss.) — The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) will host its annual Mississippi Restoration Summit virtually on November 10, 2020.  This event provides the public with an opportunity to learn more about current Deepwater Horizon oil spill restoration projects in Mississippi.

“This year’s Summit will focus on ‘Progress’ as its theme as we present an overview of MDEQ’s current restoration efforts and accomplishments as well as future goals.  We encourage everyone to register and to submit discussion topics beforehand,” said Chris Wells, MDEQ Interim Executive Director.

The virtual Restoration Summit will be held as a webinar open to the public from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on November 10.  Free registration for the event is required, and can be done here:  https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/8329910397414040336.  The Summit will also include the Mississippi Trustee Implementation Group’s (MS TIG) annual meeting.
