The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, through its Beach Monitoring Program, has lifted beach water contact advisories for Pass Christian West Beach, Gulfport West Beach, and Edgewater Beach.

Water samples at the stations show that the areas have reached acceptable bacteria levels.

  • Pass Christian West Beach — the affected area was from Fort Henry Ave. to Elliot St. (Station 5)
  • Gulfport West Beach — the affected area was from Marie Ave. to Camp Ave. (Station 8)
