(JACKSON, Miss.) – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted closures Thursday for Stations 11, 11A, 12A, 12B, 13A, 14, 19, and 20. Stations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7A, and 8 were previously lifted.

The closures are lifted for:

•Station 11 — Gulfport East Beach — from Tegarden Rd. to Anniston Ave.

•Station 11A — Edgewater Beach (Biloxi) — from Debuys Rd. to Edgewater Dr.

•Station 12A — Biloxi West Central Beach — from Travia Ave. to Iberville Dr.

•Station 12B — Biloxi East Central Beach — from St. Peter St. to Dukate St.

•Station 13A — Biloxi East Beach — from Dukate St. to Kuhn St.

•Station 14 — Front Beach (Ocean Springs) — from the Yacht Club to Jackson Ave.

•Station 19 — Pascagoula Beach West — from Oliver St. to Westwood St.

•Station 20 — Pascagoula Beach East — from Westwood St. to Grand Oaks Dr.

The remaining closures issued October 9 remain in effect as hurricane debris is removed, and MDEQ’s water sampling and analysis can resume.
