MDEQ will continue issuing text alerts and press releases during the peak beach season through Labor Day, September 7, 2026. Beginning September 8, 2026, routine advisories will be communicated through posted beach signage and the Beach Monitoring website, where the most up-to-date information is always available. Visitors are encouraged to check beaches.mdeq.ms.gov for current water quality conditions before visiting the beach.
