INVITATION FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) is seeking sealed bids for the Restoring Living Shorelines and Reefs in Mississippi Estuaries – Graveline Bay and Grand Bay Intertidal and Subtidal Reef Construction (the “Project”) This Project is being administered by MDEQ as part of the Phase IV Early Restoration Plan and Environmental Assessment prepared by the Deepwater Horizon Natural Resource Trustees in response to the April 20, 2010, Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill incident.  The purpose of the Project is to construct approximately 10 acres of subtidal reef and 2 acres of intertidal reef in Graveline Bay, 3 acres of intertidal reef at Bangs Bayou (Grand Bay), and 6.5 acres of subtidal reef at Point Aux Chenes Bay (Grand Bay).

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 16, 2020 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed at here, or by phone at +1 (646) 749-3122; Access Code: 559-901-893. The purpose of the pre-submittal conference is to allow potential offerors an opportunity to present questions to staff and obtain clarification of the procurement requirements.

Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 a.m. CST, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the MDEQ office located at 1141 Bayview Avenue, Suite 208, Biloxi, MS 39530 or electronically via MAGIC. All bids received after this deadline will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 online utilizing GoTo Meeting and can be accessed at here, or by phone at +1 (571) 317-3122; Access Code: 902-397-749.

MDEQ reserves the right to reject any and/or all packages and waive any minor informality.
