REGISTRATION FOR ONLINE PUBLIC HEARING AND INFORMATION ON PROPOSED REVISIONS

ON PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE MISSISSIPPI HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS

Zoom meeting hosted by MDEQ Waste Division

The Mississippi Commission on Environmental Quality will consider proposed revisions to the Mississippi Hazardous Waste Management Regulations. An online public hearing will be hosted on Zoom by MDEQ to solicit public comments on the proposed revisions to Title 11 Miss. Admin. Code, Part 3 Chapter 1, Mississippi Hazardous Waste Management Regulations.

Registration for the Hearing

Hearing Date: March 10, 2022

Registrants must enter their name, email, and indicate if they anticipate speaking during the hearing. Registration should be completed at least two hours prior to the start time of the public hearing. Upon registration, an email will be sent to the registrant with a link to the Zoom meeting as well as additional instructions on participating. Interested persons should be able to participate through a web browser or through the Zoom app. Only persons that are registered will have the opportunity to make verbal comments during the hearing. Persons that plan to participate using a phone line for audio must register the phone number they intend to use during the meeting so that they may be identified and unmuted at the appropriate time to offer comments.

In addition, any interested person may submit comments in writing by mail or by email to MDEQ at any time during the public comment process. Written comments for the proposed draft revisions should be sent to Krista Caron by email (kcaron@mdeq.ms.gov) or by mail to MDEQ, P. O. Box 2261, Jackson, MS 39225. Comments should be delivered to MDEQ no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
