Freon, Chlorofluorocarbons and Other Ozone Depleting Components
MDEQ does not have jurisdiction to address freon, chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) and other ozone depleting compounds beyond requirements affecting stationary sources. Instead, MDEQ provides assistance in understanding the requirements under federal rules, including those that apply to technician certification, refrigerant recycling, and servicing motor vehicle air conditioners.
