Underground Storage Tank Contractor Certification
Anyone who installs, alters, or removes an underground storage tank (UST) must be certified by MDEQ. There are four types of certification: Installation (to install or alter USTs), Closure (to permanently close USTs), Technician (to test USTs), and Cathodic Protection Tester (to test UST cathodic protection).
