(JACKSON, Miss.) – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, issued a water contact advisory Saturday for Station 19 (Pascagoula Beach West). A closure remains in effect for Station 15 (Shearwater Beach in Ocean Springs).

An advisory is issued for:

•Station 19 — Pascagoula Beach West — from Oliver St. east to Westwood St. When water samples show that levels are safe for human contact, the advisory and the closure will be lifted.
