MDEQ Issues Six Advisories


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, issued water contact advisories Saturday for six sampling stations--10B, 11, 11A, 12A, 12B, and 14. An advisory remains in effect for Station 5 (Pass Christian West Beach). 

MDEQ Lifts Advisory For Station 9


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Wednesday for sampling station 9 (Gulfport Harbor Beach). An advisory remains in effect for Station 5 (Pass Christian West Beach).

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), through its Beach Monitoring Program, lifted a water contact advisory Saturday for sampling station 10 (Gulfport Central Beach). Advisories remain in effect for Stations 5 (Pass Christian West Beach) and 9 (Gulfport Harbor Beach). 

MDEQ Recognizes 2017 enHance Members


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) accepted five new members and ten renewal memberships into its enHance program for the 2017 class on Thursday. The recognition was part of the annual workshop and awards luncheon held in Jackson.

Mississippi’s RESTORE Act State Expenditure Plan Approved


The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) announced today that Mississippi’s initial State Expenditure Plan (SEP) has been approved by the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (RESTORE Council). The $49.8 million plan describes projects and programs which Mississippi will fund under RESTORE Act.
